The Stables is a self catering holiday cottage that sleeps 6 people. The building originally housed the Stables for Little Cowarne Court but has since been converted into luxurious holiday accommodation.
NOTE: The Stables is a double storey building which is attached to The Tack Room and when booked together they can run as one large house with internal connecting doors that can then sleep up to 10 guests.
These properties are popular with extended family groups as grandparents can enjoy the peace and calm of The Tack Room, before joining the rest of the family party in The Stables.
We accept dogs in all of our cottages.
At The Stables we have a large room available for conferences/meeting room/craft sessions/yoga. This has kitchen facilities and disabled access, and can be hired on an hourly basis.

Directions to The Stables
Note: Do not use ‘Sat Nav’ or ‘Multi Map’ to find us. Postcode is HR7 4RH but you will need these directions for the last bit.
From Bromyard take the Hereford Road A465.
Go through the village of Stoke Lacy. Leaving the village you start to climb the hill and turn right (half way up the hill) sign posted to Little Cowarne.
Travel along that road for approx 2 miles, go past the Three Horseshoes on your left, go down the hill and take the first left just before the phone box go past enterance to Little Cowarne Court then take the next right sign posted The Stables and Tack Room, then first right immediately after the wooden building.
Accessibility Information for The Stables
The Stables and Tack Room have a large flat car park in front of the properties which then has stone 20 cm steps (6) to a level patio. There is also disabled access at the back of the properties, this is sign posted and there is parking here for The Tack Room and The stables
There is an internal connecting door between the The Stables & the Tack Room which is locked if bookings are separate, this door is 100 cm wide and links the 2 living areas, there is a table that seats 10.
All Bedrooms in The Stables have zip and link beds.

Turn off your sat nav. Travel towards Pencombe and as you come into the village the first building is the Village Hall, turn right just before the Village Hall through the large red gateway.
Go on past the bungalow and keep going up the track through the fields. You will find the cottages on your right at the top of the hill.
Accessibility information for Durstone Cottage
The cottage is approached by a half a mile farm track and parking is on concrete outside the cottage.
Meadow View is accessed by a path with 2 steps (16cm) and 1 step (22cm) into the porch. There are 2 steps (18 and 16cm) then 1 step into the hall (22cm).
Durstone Cottage is accessed by a path and 1 step (17cm) and then a step into the porch (14cm) and one into the hall (18cm).
The large interconnecting dining room has a step of 19cm from either kitchen. In the dining room there are tables and benches with seating for 21+ people.
The shower is entered by a (22cm) step. The stairs consist of 5 steps, a landing and then 8 steps, all stair treads are 20cm.
The double rooms have 2 small steps (8cm). The bathrooms have a bath, sink and a toilet and there is a downstairs toilet and sink.
